Senior Research Computing Systems Engineer
Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations and System Engineering and working within that FAS RC group, this position will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of essential IT infrastructure, both for the entire research community as a whole and individual labs. The Senior Research Computing Systems Engineer will also be involved in the operation and management of data centers and will interact with vendors and members of the Harvard research computing community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to investigation into and mitigation of compute system level problems, monitoring of system health, data center work, use of quality control techniques to keep service interruption to a minimum, and creative evaluation of client compute resources fo
