Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support in all areas of Information Security Services for the Office of Information Technology; administer and coordinate enterprise security controls. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for Information Security Services as well as Information Technology in general.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by date of appointment Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree: Associate’s degree plus an additional combination of education or work experience in IT equivalent to two years; or High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or work experience in IT equivalent to four years. At least two years of experience in a technology related field; must be highly available and be willing to participate in information security operations and incidents for the entire university; may require responding to or insuring the response of others on a 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year basis. Must be fully eligible to pass/maintain relevant related background/records checks performed by the FBI or other government agencies; excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position requires a high level of access to critical systems and information. As such, the employee must exercise discretion and professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in computer science, applied technology, ICS, MIS, or related technology field. Over five years of experience in a technology related field; relevant background in enterprise level systems architecture; relevant background in information security services. Industry recognized information security certifications such as CISSP, CSA, or CISA.
