Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) seeks a full-time Senior Systems Analyst to provide systems and software design and support services to the school community. This position extracts, manipulates, and analyzes data from the Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Admissions CRM, Financial and ERP systems. The Analyst is responsible for staying current with systems relevant to the academic and administrative environment in order to identify solutions that optimize data resources and meet the school's needs. The position is also responsible for protecting the integrity, security, and accessibility of institutional data. Additionally, the Analyst provides system-level support for operating systems and software tools including installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of these systems.

A Day in the Life:
The Senior Systems Analyst at NMH is responsible for recommending and supporting software platforms that ensure the best technological solutions are implemented to support the school’s mission. They maintain data security and referential integrity across all systems while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all information being processed, stored, or accessed on the network. Troubleshooting and resolving software and connectivity issues, including user access and component configuration, is a key part of the role. When guidelines are insufficient or significant changes are proposed, the Analyst selects among authorized procedures and seeks assistance as needed to address unanticipated problems. The Analyst also writes and maintains clear, comprehensive system documentation for future reference, while also documenting known problems and resolutions for ongoing improvement. Collaboration with other technical staff is essential to establish seamless connectivity and compatibility between systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of data transfer techniques, and PC network databases.
Experience with managing enterprise databases in an academic institution.
Minimum of five years proven success developing software using .NET technologies (Visual Basic, MS SQL Server).
Demonstrated proficiency with API calls between SaaS platforms required.
Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot system software.
Understanding of regulations and best practices related to PII and FERPA data.
Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols.
Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, or a Social Science.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL certification.
Experience working independently in Technolutions Slate strongly preferred.
Previous experience with Blackbaud educational and financial platforms.
Familiarity with SSRS, Python, or PowerBI approaches to programmatic report creation and automation.
Broad aptitude for large dataset analysis, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
Experience developing pipelines (ELT/ETL) for data warehousing
