JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Administrator serves as a key member of a dynamic team that guides, implements, and supports the College’s networks, servers, information security program, and technology infrastructure. This individual is highly self-motivated, possesses a superior technical aptitude, and has the ability to successfully manage a number of complex projects simultaneously. Work is conducted primarily on-site during normal business hours.
Ideal Candidate: Demonstrated knowledge of systems administration principles and concepts. Individual is a member of a supportive team that shares ownership of the duties and responsibilities listed below. Aptitude and interest in relevant areas can be substituted for direct experience.
Employment Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE), Exempt (Salaried), Benefits-Eligible. *Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants looking to utilize CPT/OPT eligibility will not be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of various enterprise and cloud-based IT applications and systems
Oversee the building and management of the Windows desktop infrastructure and related applications such as SmartDeploy
Assist with the development of a comprehensive strategy for Windows desktop deployment and administration
Play a critical role in the planning, testing, and auditing of campus systems to ensure the efficacy of security measures
Provide crucial forensic and investigative support during security incidents
Develop custom tools and scripts to automate or enhance routine tasks and maintenance
Participate in management and support of the campus network infrastructure
Assist with the setup and maintenance of server and storage hardware
Create and configure virtual servers with hypervisors such as VMWare
Provide Tier 3 technical support for the Technology Helpline
Work collaboratively in a supportive and engaging team-based environment
All other duties as assigned
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES, SKILLS, AND EXPERTISE:
Demonstrated experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
Knowledge of enterprise wired and wireless networking technologies
Prior experience configuring, managing, and monitoring a server infrastructure in a mid-to-large enterprise environment
Understanding of enterprise networking standards, protocols, and firewall configurations
Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and documentation skills
Inquisitive and determined mindset that is undaunted by new challenges
Strong customer service and communication skills, written and verbal
Familiarity with Linux, MacOS and Powershell
