The Cloud Architect position within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department is responsible for the development and implementation of COCC’s cloud architecture roadmap in collaboration with the system administration team. As ITS continues to grow and innovate, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our talented information technology team. This Cloud Architect is passionate about cloud technologies, possesses excellent project management skills, and will design and implement scalable and secure cloud solutions, while also demonstrating the ability to work as a partner with college stakeholders. Note: This position is onsite in Bend, Oregon.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Data Center/System Administration, or equivalent work experience in an IT or technical environment.

Experience:

• Three (3) years of designing and implementing cloud architecture projects, with a strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or OCI; Sharepoint)
• Two (2) years of total IT technical experience with any combination of the following: (1)Experience supporting and designing M365 Sharepoint; (2) Network administration; (3) Enterprise server system administration; (4) Infrastructure and/or Data Center support
• Two (2) years of project management/supervisory/lead experience in an IT or technology environment.
