Ohio University’s Office of Information Technology is seeking a Drupal Web Developer and Administrator to join our Software Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining Drupal-based websites, as well as experience in server administration.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Develop and maintain Drupal-based websites: Develops solutions using programming languages such as PHP in addition to front-end languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS to optimize performance, security, and scalability of university websites. Works as a project team member to develop solutions to meet business requirements. Participates in the project planning process and assists with the gathering of business requirements and may write functional specifications. Develops test cases, test scenarios, and scripts based upon business and technical requirements. Assists with the setup and maintenance of automated test and build environments. * Manage server administration tasks: Performs configuration and administration of web servers and platforms in support of university websites. Adheres to standards and procedures to perform and validate web deployments. * Maintenance : Research and identify root cause of problems, identify possible workarounds, and recommend solutions. Performs ongoing routine application maintenance including but not limited to the updating and patching of custom and contributed code in support of the University Web CMS. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy new features * Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise * Ensure website security and performance
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field * 3+ years of experience in Drupal web development and administration * Demonstrated knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and git
