The target hiring range is $58,972 – $70,000 depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The IT Project Manager II facilitates the delivery of small to medium, simple to moderately complex IT solutions requested by OIT and departments and/or planning units across the university. This includes assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying needed resources, developing schedules, and overseeing the completion of the project. The project manager will provide leadership and direction for project teams. This position is required to have excellent follow-through and communication skills and exhibit great attitude and energy in a team-focused environment.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
1) Project Management – Manages small to medium, simple to moderately complex projects/teams. Responsible for creation and execution of project artifacts and/or Agile ceremonies to ensure project framework is followed. Negotiates conflicts and resolves issues that arise during this process. Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects/teams, including scheduling, assignment of work and review of team efforts. Monitors and maintains the project by identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, and escalating scope, budget, quality, and timeline issues appropriately. Facilitates feedback cycles as it pertains to team performance. Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients. Works with key roles to define and refine scope of work.
2) Functional Development – Supports project management functional maturation through collaborating with team on tasks created to advance project management practices for the organization and institution.
3) Other duties as assigned
