As a Business Analyst you will provide functional guidance and support for Oracle e-Business Suite (MyJob), Coupa (MARQetplace), EmpCenter, ImageNow, PeopleSoft and other applications in the Office of Finance. Analyze and evaluate business functions and processes of the university related to assigned areas such as Accounting/General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budget, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Grant Accounting, Payroll, Purchasing, Record Retention and Timekeeping. This position requires an understanding of business operations, process documentation, development of business requirements, application testing, issue resolution, and end-user training. This employee works closely with Finance, Information Technology Services, and other university colleagues to collaborate on financial information system development and improvement of ongoing daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Serve as a functional system administrator for Oracle EBS, Coupa, EmpCenter, ImageNow, and other applications assigned. Includes maintenance of user access, overseeing integrations/interfaces, and periodic reviews to ensure the accuracy of data. 2. Support Finance colleagues and other campus users in troubleshooting issues encountered. Log technical issues for investigation and work with IT Services to find, test and document resolutions. 3. Active participation in planning and coordination of testing efforts for system upgrades as well as routine regulatory releases, patches and bug fixes. Guide user testers from various business areas to complete high quality testing of assigned workstreams. 4. Evaluate requests for application improvements or enhancements, including gathering business requirements, assessing industry best practices, and comparing to university policies and procedures. 5. Document business system configurations and customizations. Interpret technical terminology to build functional process owner understanding. Documents may include written explanations and/or Visio diagrams. Ensure such documentation is complete, readily understood, and accessible to Office of Finance and management. 6. Interact with developers, system administrators, and functional process owners to continuously refine and improve the automated tools that support university business transaction processing. 7. Other responsibilities: a. Assist with developing user guides, training materials and financial literacy for financial system users. b. Learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology. c. Maintain Office of Finance web pages, as needed. d. May supervisor student employees.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration, or accounting information systems.
At least 1 year of related experience required.
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Coupa (eProcurement), Workforce (timekeeping) and/or other ERP systems required.
The ability to solve difficult, non-routine problems drawing on experience and knowledge.
Must be detail oriented and possess excellent troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Must have excellent organizational ability, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
4 or more years of related experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and Visio is preferred.
