The Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of South Dakota is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Educational Technology Integrationist. This position works with faculty to solve specific technological and pedagogical problems, provides training in the areas of technology and pedagogy, provides support and oversight for graduate and undergraduate student employees, provides data for outcomes-based assessment measures, and supports marketing and outreach activities. Some training will require off-campus travel. This position is highly collaborative and works closely with academic and administrative units from across the university. In addition to work on the Vermilion campus, the CTL actively supports USD-Sioux Falls; up to 3 days each week may need to take place on the USD-Sioux Falls campus.
Minimum qualifications: A master’s degree; evidence of teaching at any level; excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to work as part of a team that develops and supports a community dedicated to excellent teaching and learning, regardless of location, formality, or modality; valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications: Graduate degree in Education, Educational Technology, Educational Psychology, or related field; terminal degree in a field that would allow them to teach at USD; evidence of successful teaching in higher education; experience with instructional design and course management systems (preferably Desire2Learn); experience teaching online; experience in professional or faculty development; experience with Digital Accessibility and/or assistive technologies; experience in mentoring students and/or colleagues; working knowledge of web-based applications, and emerging technologies that facilitate distance learning; experience training personnel and in developing training materials, terminal degree.
