The Director of Networking (Director) is the program director for SysNet, which is the wide-area network (WAN) that provides Internet service to UW institutions and their physical campuses.  These duties will require managing partnerships and relationships with UW-Madison for technical networking support of the network along with the external parties involved in such a complex endeavor: UW institution Chief Business Officers and Chief Information Officers; State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation; the Rural Wisconsin Health  Cooperative; private telecommunications companies; regional and national research and higher ed networking institutions; and a variety of local governments and municipalities.
