The CIO will be responsible for overseeing the Information Technology Services strategy and implementation and will collaborate with leaders to ensure the support and success of Tarleton’s goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and initiatives. The forward-looking CIO will constantly evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and related information with a focus on which ones are best fitting for the University while ensuring staff development programs allow for implementation and management of new technologies, processes, and systems. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Finance & Administration/CFO, the CIO is a collaborative leader capable of bringing about the best in their team members, supporting their growth, and is able to handle complex situations.  

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of training and experience and at least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in information systems management as a senior level. Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems and a Criminal Justice Information Systems level 3 background clearance are preferred, but not required.
