Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is hiring a Manager, University Testing Center (UTC). This position coordinates with faculty who wish to offer computerized testing for either online or traditional classes. The UTC administers placement exams, assessments, and offers contracted exam services for third party entities as appropriate. These include ALEKS PPL, ACT, College Board, and other academic, professional, and commercial testing products. The incumbent develops and manages all aspects of the UTC including policy and procedure development, testing standards, academic integrity, proctor oversight, establishment and management of the facility, equipment and software, and center operations including human resources management and budgeting. The incumbent serves as a liaison to third-party agencies such as testing-system vendors and third-party entities using testing services and negotiates testing contracts in collaboration with legal counsel and the immediate supervisor. The Manager is charged with building a successful testing center, with the expectation that the UTC will generate revenue to support the mission of the UTC.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and four years of related work experience; OR a Master's Degree and two years of related work experience
Related Experience: academic integrity, testing center experience in higher education, operations management, or other directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with testing center operations, especially in a Higher Education setting.
