Responsible to the Director of Advancement Services for maintaining and enhancing the College's CRM system by developing custom functionality, integrations and reporting capabilities. This technical position is full-time and in the Advancement, Vocation and Alumni Engagement division of the college. Open to a remote arrangement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to provide automated and enhanced user functionality on our Ellucian CRM Advance/Microsoft Dynamics platform using Microsoft Dynamics delivered functionality (workflows, business processes, customizations, etc.) and custom .Net plugins when appropriate. Applicant should be comfortable with the software development lifecycle, from gathering data requirements to maintaining the completed enhancements.
Apply knowledge of best practices, current and emerging development trends, and techniques to application development.
Coordinate with our provider for custom enhancements, deployments, and other business objectives.
Create, design, develop and maintain SSRS reports and other useful and appropriate reporting deliverables.
Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot issues with integrations between CRM and other software systems including deployment and provisioning activities, coordinating with other departments, as necessary.
Serve as technical point person with central Wheaton College AIT and external software vendors.
Research emerging technologies, conduct proofs-of-concept, and make recommendations on next steps in system maintenance and enhancement.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science OR equivalent experience.
Experience in a business analyst role for technology solutions.
Experience with relational database design and best practices.
Experience in building a variety of reports using SQL and SSRS in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
Strong experience with software development principles and best practices.
High proficiency with MS Office products (Access, Excel, etc.).
Confident in making decisions, accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze.
Excellent communication skills to include internal/external interaction, documentation, and presentations.
Ability to work independently and set priorities based on key milestones, impact to strategic initiatives and high-level direction of management.
Preferred
Direct experience with CRM software and/or the Microsoft stack of technologies.
Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM with SDK, .NET plugins, workflow utilities, JavaScript, CSS3, HTML/HTML5 as well as experience creating and customizing entities, forms, views, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
Strong experience and understanding of web services (SOAP and REST) as a means of systems integration.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power App, and Power BI).
