OHIO IT is seeking a Technology Education Specialist II to join a collaborative team focused on supporting University students, faculty, and staff with technology needs. This role facilitates productive and engaging learning experiences for staff, faculty and students. Responsible for the distribution of technology training and performance support activities delivered through a variety of channels and for maintaining support resources (web sites, user documentation, etc) for IT services so that those services are accessible to a broad audience and easy to consume. Assists in assessments of training needs via surveys, consultations with employees, and support requests.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct training and performance support activities via in-person, remote, and hybrid formats. Facilitate productive and engaging experiences for end users and/or “train the trainer” on an as needed basis.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop technology training and performance support activities through varied modalities including web pages, instructional videos, how-to guides, etc.
Conduct detailed analysis of the audience, task, and needs to determine the most appropriate approach and ensure the efficacy, efficiency, and value of training activities. Includes analysis of service desk tickets and web traffic data.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in training and development, education, instructional design, or related field
Comprehensive knowledge of theories, concepts and practices and ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations.
