You know an effective intranet has the power to bring teams together, and you have the know-how to make that happen! The intranet cloud applications specialist will assist the senior intranet architect in the design, development, planning, installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of the Grinnell College SharePoint intranet and associated Microsoft 365 applications. A member of the Grinnell College Information Technology Services (ITS) Enterprise Systems team, this professional has knowledge of SharePoint and Teams architecture, applications, functionality, configuration, and branding. Able to analyze and understand business requirements leveraging Microsoft 365 applications and third-party applications for creating effective solutions to meet business needs, the intranet cloud applications specialist also works closely with colleagues to brand, install, debug, and maintain third-party software packages.
Great communication, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills, and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision are required.

You will:
assist in overseeing the SharePoint and Teams infrastructure (with coordination by the senior intranet architect) including user access and application deployment.
support the installation, configuration, security, operation, and maintenance of applications related to SharePoint infrastructure.
work closely with the Information Security team on compliance and security best practices.
develop, configure, and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists, and site collections.
perform routine system administrative activities such as site creation, backup, restoration, and issue resolution.
train users on Microsoft 365 and third-party applications deployed in SharePoint.
work with end users and ITS project managers to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities and propose changes that would make the SharePoint and Teams environment a more effective solution.
maintain current industry knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, best practices, and procedures.

You are:
educated. You have at least an associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent work experience.
knowledgeable about SharePoint and Teams architecture. You have a great understanding of SharePoint and Teams (ideally two years’ experience) and you know the ins and outs of a Microsoft 365 environment with integrations. You’re skilled at leveraging these applications and tools to meet business needs. You have experience with PowerShell, InfoPath, Workflow, and SharePoint Designer.
