Reporting to the OAE High-Impact Practice Expert, the OAE ePortfolio Specialist supports ongoing ePortfolio activity in OAE, most notably the Honors and Scholars student populations, and helps design and implement our expanding efforts to coordinate and foster reflective practice across OAE, in OAE related programs, as well as in coordination with the new General Education. Together with a group of student ambassadors, the function will create a support center for all our OAE programs to provide targeted reflection feedback for students and professional development for instructors in teaching reflective practice through consultation and programming support.
Specific tasks:
Together with leaders for the Honors and Scholars programs, assist in the re-design and management of the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio Program. Provide support for all OAE programs by providing targeted reflection feedback for students as well as consulting with and supporting instructors on using the ePortfolio as a tool for reflective practice and synthesizing learning. Establish, train, and manage a group of ePortfolio mentors and student ambassadors (undergrad and/or grad students) who will provide reflective practice support and feedback for OAE students. In coordination with the Undergraduate Education office and the Office of Technology and DigitaI Innovation, develop learning content and evaluation structures for ePortfolio platform and scaffolded reflective practice resources for OAE student populations. Serve as OAE liaison with campus units and work groups planning and implementing the ePortfolio tool. The ePortfolio specialist will promote the use of the ePortfolio by assisting in workshops, information sessions, social media, emails, etc. Support and work with OAE staff in doing ePortfolio research and assessment. Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience: 3+ years professional experience in a higher education institution documented ability to independently execute tasks and projects of large scope instructional experience with online learning platforms
Desired Experience:
1-3 years supervisory experience
2-5 years of experience in educational development/teaching support
2-5 years teaching experience experience in course material development ability to work across academic content areas experience implementing program assessment.
Additional Information:
Target Hiring Range: $50,000 - $55,000
