Be a part of the Information Technologies team at The College of St. Scholastica. We currently have an opening for a Web Developer. This position is responsible for web and applications development and maintenance to ensure stable, functional and secure web technologies that support College operations and activities.
- Develops and maintains web applications related to College operations and activities. - Collaborates with business analysts and solution project teams to develop applications based upon requirements and approved development plan. - Performs full development life cycle tasks to include analysis, coding, system testing, documentation and implementation. - Maintains, updates and repairs web applications; performs routine maintenance and updates; debugs and fixes nonfunctional applications. - Provides user support and problem resolution. - Diagnoses and resolves functional and operational issues. - Researches and tests solutions. - Provides technical advice and support. - Collaborates with diverse individuals across College departments to identify opportunities for inter-departmental and cross-functional process improvements and efficiencies.
The Information Technology (IT) department at St. Scholastica strives to provide innovative solutions and reliable technology to the College community. IT seeks to enable enhanced teaching and learning in support of students, faculty, and staff; while also providing a robust and reliable infrastructure that supports efficient business operations.
The position requires an associate’s degree in IT Web Development or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Requires knowledge of web application development and technology, concepts of Object Oriented Design and Object Oriented Programming, communicating technically complex instructions, troubleshooting and working effectively with diverse populations.
