Henderson State University is looking for a developer for a Jenzabar PX ERP Programmer. It operates on OpenVMS and uses the POISE Data Management System. The ERP Programmer will assist the ERP staff and faculty. The ERP programmer will also be responsible for changes and modifications on current Enterprise Applications as well as working with in developing other Enterprise applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Confirms project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
Develop testing plans and procedures for clients to test solutions
Work with team members to create and review documentation on custom development.
Assist clients with the implementation of developed solutions; including training, documentation and troubleshooting.
Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, or training.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or higher preferred in a computer-related field plus three (3) years of significant, responsible programming related work experience
Or High School diploma with ten (10) years of proven, direct POISE programming experience
COMMUNICATION, NUMERICAL, REASONING ABILITY
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the University.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret numeric graphical charts.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or tabular form.
