Information Technology Services plays a critical role in the success of Trinity University by supporting the technology that drives education, research, and business operations. Our division embraces the responsibilities and opportunities inherent in this role by encouraging continuous professional development and career growth for all ITS staff, including our student workforce. Work-life balance is highly valued, and we take a holistic approach to employee engagement, encouraging volunteerism in the campus and wider communities.
Trinity University provides an excellent working environment: a beautiful campus, a generous benefits package, and a belief that all employees deserve a high quality of life. You will work with an internationally recognized faculty and some of the brightest and most ambitious students in the country. Trinity is a small liberal arts university, serving undergraduates primarily. It balances a strong sense of community while offering the resources of a much larger university.
What You’ll Accomplish
As the senior leader of ITS Support, you will provide a vision for the customer-facing technologies that underpin the university’s success. We seek a leader with deep knowledge of IT Service Management to continuously improve our responsiveness to ever-changing customer needs and expectations. Your team spans classrooms, labs, technology-enhanced spaces, institutionally owned machines, and a multi-tiered service center that touches every part of campus. Today, our support department consists of disparate silos. Your challenge––and opportunity––is to develop a coherent, high-quality service model and a shared culture to unite the members of these teams.
The successful candidate will also have the chance to shape the ITS Support team into an agile workforce. Since skill currency is a must for all ITS staff, we need a leader who is eager to create a training (and cross-training) strategy that includes student and full-time staff. As a manager, you will support our diverse workforce and participate in the University’s efforts to create and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment for all.
The Right Fit
We seek an innovative, positive, and self-directed leader, one who is passionate about the liberal arts and sciences, one who will represent ITS and Trinity University with pride. Does the challenge of building a culture of excellence appeal to you? Do the following characteristics describe you?
If the answer is yes––yes with an exclamation mark––we look forward to reviewing your application.
