Purpose of Position:
This position serves as the liaison between IT Services and Human Resources to assist in maximizing the value derived from the University’s Human Resource-related information systems by analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining database driven applications and interfaces.
Demonstrated knowledge in analysis and design of systems and databases
Demonstrated web application development skills, including design considerations, security implications, and interface and integration with disparate systems on a variety of platforms using different interface methodologies
Demonstrated database programming, design, and reporting skills
Solid understanding of software lifecycle methodologies, including source code management
Proven ability to define and implement strategies to improve business processes, develop enhanced reporting capabilities, and improve system integrations, through application development based on current customer business processes and anticipated future needs
Highly skilled at identifying application requirements by meeting with customers, observing business processes, and developing and running new applications and programs
Proven ability to implement customer plans in the form of schedules, resource management plans, and application development
Proven ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage competing demands
Proven ability to analyze new and existing software, and determine effective ways to interface applications and share data between systems
Proven ability to model professional integrity and behavior
Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally through written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical peers
Significant demonstrated knowledge of system and database analysis and design
Advanced ASP.NETweb application development skills
Significant demonstrated ability to build relationships in order to better understand customers’ business processes and strategies to enhance those business activities, conduct testing and ensure customer satisfaction
Proven ability to develop plans to support new and existing applications by automated or manual methods, including implementation of new developed software or integrations
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and software development/management methods and tools
Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new technical skills in both team and individual project environments
Proven ability to communicate with peers on the creation of programming and documentation standards, participate in unit-wide discussion of emerging technology, and relaying the state of application development and future options to customers
