Loyola Marymount University has an opening for a Director of Admission Information Systems. The Director will provide vision and leadership for the integration and deployment of enterprise, business and digital communication and recruitment software systems in the Offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admission; supervise staff; manage all aspects of office technology; and manage delivery of print, digital, and internet based forms of communication to prospective students.
Additional responsibilities include: identify, evaluate, recommend and implement admission-related new technologies; provide insights on best practices, understand new technology solutions and ideas in order to continuously improve processes and contribute to a culture of innovation; and create and produce information and analysis through reports and queries to inform and guide Admission strategies and operations. The Director will develop and manage the delivery mechanisms and processes for print publications and electronic messages to prospective students and be responsible for managing all functional aspects and utilization of Technolutions Slate database and CRM systems. Additionally, the Director will monitor interfaces between Slate and other university systems and databases, manage log in and security access to LMU Admission’s information system, and manage vendor relationships for outside technologies linked to office systems, and work as part of a team-oriented leadership group with other management and the Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Admission.

We seek candidates who typically hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Master’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in an admissions office or related field, as well as extensive experience with a relational database. Candidates must have an understanding of enrollment management in a progressive, fast-paced university environment, and a proven record of collaboration and successful staff management. Direct experience with Technolutions Slate ® Software is strongly preferred. Some experience with Student Information systems (i.e. Ellucian Banner) is beneficial. We require applicants to have demonstrated knowledge in current trends in admissions recruitment and experience with the utilization of data for analysis and assessment purposes. The demonstrated knowledge of reporting/query tools and the ability to generate reports is a must. We also need candidates to have the ability to use superior judgment, sensitivity and discretion in relation to data security, admission selection and staff supervision as well as the ability to supervise staff and provide overall direction to the office.
