Specialist IV/V, Information Technology-VMware Systems Engineer (VDI)

Position Summary: Perform system administration of VMware Virtual Desktop infrastructure and associated technologies, including the installation, configuration and upgrade of hardware, operating systems and software defined datacenter infrastructure.
Assist in the development, monitoring and maintenance of system software and utility programs
Perform on-call support evenings, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis

Minimum Qualifications: Entry into the applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent at least five (5) years of directly applicable experience. The salary for this Level IV is $55K to $66K.
Consideration for Level V requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of four (4) years of directly applicable experience. The salary range for this level is $65K to $73K.
Experience with administration of VMware datacenter and EUC products including VMware ESXi, VMware Virtual Center, VMware Horizon 7.x, (VMware User Environment Manger, App Volumes, vSAN, View Connection Server, Unified Access Gateway, NSX, and other EUC tools).
Experience with scripting languages using VMWare VSphere CLI, Powershell, and Ansible playbooks to develop automation routines for administration and maintenance tasks. Experience with system administration of file and print services in multi-tenant environments.
Experience with Thin Client hardware and technology

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field.
VMware VCP, VCAP, or VCDX Certification
Demonstrated experience gathering and validating design requirements for VMware environments
Experience Managing Nvidia GPU resources for in physical and virtual environments.
