Job Scope: Support the Information Technology (IT) Department through serving as the Administrative Systems Analyst and assisting with managing the BANNER database system.
Provide technical support to the University Community with the student information system through implementing new features, debugging and performing general maintenance
Implement efficient procedures to benefit multiple areas of campus involving planning, coding, testing and documenting
Write reports and processes using: SQL, PL/SQL, WebFOCUS, C, and shell scripts
Install and maintain WebFOCUS components including Reporting Server, Client, Managed Reporting, Report Caster and Dashboard
Execute database administrator tasks and train as the backup to the Database Administrator.
Provide training on software products including Banner and WebFOCUS
Interpret and apply a variety of procedures, policies and precedents
Correspond with external contacts to respond to inquiries or convey the enforcement of regulations, policies and procedures
Ability to solve problems through the identification and analysis of diverse issues
Ease in discussing issues of moderate importance with higher officials through cooperation, explanation and persuasion
Advanced knowledge of professional theories and practices within the given field and a working knowledge of related fields
Advanced understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, C and/or Java, and shell scripts
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
Two to three years of similar work experience
Three or more years of similar work experience. Experience supporting BANNER or any other ERP system
Experience with the Banner Finance and Human Resources modules
