A rare opportunity on the campus of Auburn University is now available to advance your career. Enterprise systems in the Office of Information Technology is looking for a technical lead. The successful candidate for this position will be a supporting member of the Campus Web Solutions (CWS) development team. In support of developers, he/she will provide code reviews for refactoring and minimization of issues prior to the Quality Assurance phase to the .NET developers (i.e. help them create, publish, and migrate sites) and perfect SQL database coding. He/she may also produce .NET applications using C#.
The work is varied and difficult in character. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to be a self-starter and must possess and apply comprehensive IT knowledge, concepts, practices, and procedures, including hardware, software, networks as well as troubleshooting and documentation for the completion of complex assignments and projects.
Job Breakdown (Essential functions include but are not limited to):
30% - .NET Development: Create custom .NET applications using team standards for internal development and support of the CWS team.
50% -.NET developer support: Support developers creating, publishing, and migrating sites on the IIS environment. This includes mentoring, documentation and code repository experience.
10% - SQL Database Programming: Be able to write TSQL code when necessary to improve performance.
10% - New Technologies: Spend time exploring new and emerging technologies.

Entry into the applicant pool requires a High School diploma or equivalent and five years of relevant technical experience in computer programming and software development. Level IV has a salary range between $50,000 and $65,000.
Level V requires a Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in the areas referenced above. Level V has a salary range between $55,000 and $73,000.
Knowledge of information technology principles and applications, experience building web applications and database-driven websites, leadership ability and excellent communication skills are essential.
Demonstration of technical ability will be required.
