The Kuali Research Systems Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating technology and implementation activities associated with Kuali Research, PSU’s cloud-based, hosted electronic research administration system.
The Manager is responsible for coordinating activities of project teams, identifying appropriate resources needed to staff the teams, developing schedules from project plans, participating in change management, and communicating effectively with project sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and system users. The Manager coordinates PSU functional experts, system users, technical groups, and the vendor (KualiCo) to implement system functionality, coordinate system management tasks, and recommend solutions to system issues. The Manager is also responsible for developing and delivering user training; and designing and maintaining reports of system data. The Kuali Research Systems Manager reports to the Assistant Vice President for Research Administration within Research and Graduate Studies.
BA/BS with 5+ years of related experience. Related experience may include serving as project manager for implementation of a software system or other complex initiative.

• Experience working with Kuali Research, Coeus, or other electronic research administration systems. • Experience analyzing or manipulating large data sets. • Experience creating moderately complex reports and queries and ability to distill and present clear, actionable information and conclusions from complicated datasets. • Experience working in a university setting. • Demonstrated stakeholder management experience, with the ability to communicate effectively and to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and staff at all levels.
Additional Salary Information: The starting annual salary rate for this position will be between $78,100 and $91,800. The starting salary may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
