The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Systems Programmer/Specialist for the office of ITS Infrastructure. This is a full-time, permanent staff position. Information and Technology Services (ITS) is the central information technology unit for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. ITS provides and supports campus-wide services in the areas of technology support, enterprise applications, information security, systems and operations, data networking, telecommunications and University Research Computing.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing and maintaining a Windows and/or Linux server infrastructure environment is required. A working knowledge of PowerShell/Python/BASH or other scripting language communication and Team skills are also required.
Essential Job Duties: The role of a Systems Programmer/Specialist on the ITS Server and Storage team configures, monitors, maintains and troubleshoots issues on Windows and/or Linux Server Operating Systems. Managing and maintaining a Windows and/or Linux server infrastructure running Windows 2008-2019, Red Hat Linux and others. Working with a Microsoft Active Directory environment. Managing and maintaining systems using PowerShell/Python or other scripting language. Managing and maintaining systems and services in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
