The BI Developer is a member of the Ohio University Information Delivery team responsible for the design, development, and delivery of reporting solutions for Ohio University. Multiple positions available.
develop complex data models, queries, and custom reports for operational and analytical reporting
develop, maintain, and support the enterprise data warehouse system and corresponding data marts
create SQL scripts, stored procedures, indexes, and views
prepare and implement data verification and testing methods for the data warehouse
metadata repository creation
create complex database reports based on the needs of end users
review queries for performance issues, making changes as needed
support the user community in the use of business intelligence tools to query files and databases for report outputs

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (foreign educational equivalent acceptable)
At least 3 years of experience in relational database development, which involved:
analysis of business processes and source data;
design and development experience for a data warehouse or an operational data store;
database development using SQL language features; and
working with industry standard BI platforms.
Included in the above 3 years of experience must be 1 year of experience with Kimball or Inmon data warehouse methodologies, operational reporting, and extracts from ERP systems for system integrations.
