The Server Specialist's role is to support the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal network downtime. The person will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required. Receives direction from the Server Administrator and exercises no supervision. Must be available for some flexible scheduling. Note: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.

Sustained posture or intense attentiveness for prolonged periods. Light lifting (30 lbs.), some walking, pushing, and pulling on a regular basis. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent education (minimum of 15 hours of college computer course work) and work experience in computer/network support.
