SUMMARY OF FUNCTION: Provide vision, leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise in support of Arizona Western College’s key enterprise applications. Responsible for building and managing vendor relationships to ensure systems are robust and stable. Manage and mentor a dedicated team to ensure optimal operation of the college's applications. Adhere to the values of the College and adds value to the College’s mission and attainment of its vision.
TYPICAL DUTIES: Provide leadership in the management and delivery of enterprise systems and cultivates a customer service driven culture within a dynamic team environment. Provide day-to-day oversight and management to the enterprise applications group, ensuring a high degree of responsiveness and excellence in performance and execution.
Manage and delivers complex ERP environment. Identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for partners across all areas of the college. Work in collaboration with ITSS and business leadership in determining technology needs and priorities.
Provide a framework and set of standards to enable procurement, development, and deployment of enterprise application services that maximize interoperation, minimize duplication, and simplify the ITSS environment.
Manage hosted, managed, and other service contracts and activities in the scope of enterprise application support. Ensure adherence of all members of the team to established timelines and project plans; communicate, review, and resolve issues and concerns from partners and team members.
Proactively consult with ERP and LMS users, ensuring that systems are optimal and meet or exceed business requirements. Propose innovative ways of leveraging technology for the benefit of students, faculty, and staff. Participate in development of resource plans and structures and college committees.
Ensure that team members are well informed, trained, and that appropriate opportunities for professional development are provided and encouraged. Provides technical guidance to enterprise applications team.
Assure all relevant internal financial, data privacy (FERPA, PII, and HIPAA), and security policies are met.
Actively participate in the creation of new and update of existing policies and procedures as required. Use best practices for risk mitigation; collaboratively develop plans and advise senior ITSS leadership of ways to improve the enterprise application environment and services.
Support and participate in strategic initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Required: Associates degree or education and six years’ experience supporting enterprise ERP and LMS solutions. Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills, strong organizational and customer service skills, and extensive experience with architectural best practices and goals. Proven ability to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Ability to translate business strategies into architecture requirements, set goals to support objectives, and demonstrated ability to achieve results in a collaborative manner and to interface with all levels of the organization. Expert knowledge of databases and Microsoft SQL Server, detailed knowledge of risk and cyber security, and advanced scripting experience. Ability to self-manage and prioritize work and balance competing priorities, and to provide clear and useful documentation of work. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment driven by customer service and teamwork.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and industry standard professional certification. Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP and Blackboard LMS. Experience supporting IT in a higher-education setting. Experience with project management, the establishment of KPIs to support work efforts, and overseeing operations with hosted and/or managed enterprise applications. Notes: Evening, weekend, holiday, overtime hours and travel may be required.
