University Information Technology Services, within the University of Arizona, Student Administration (SA) PeopleSoft Business Analyst Team is soliciting applications for the position of Business Analyst, Senior to support the Student Records module within the UAccess Student System.
It is an exciting time to join Student Administration (SA) PeopleSoft Business Analyst Team as we have recently upgraded to Amazon Web Services (AWS). We will be upgrading to Campus Solutions 9.2 and then extensive student journey/lifecycle mapping as we work together with our Peoplesoft technical analysts/developers to create Graphical User Interface (GUI) enhancements as part of an larger project to modernize the student experience.
The Business Analyst, Senior is part of a team which provides functional support for various systems and/or applications by being the main liaison between business users and technical teams to identify, analyse and translate needs into specifications. A wide degree of creativity and autonomy is expected. The University is committed to train the successful candidate in the systems being supported.
The Business Analyst, Senior position will work directly with the functional units and with the technical team to assist in the optimization of business processes and UAccess systems to improve services for new and incoming students.

Duties & Responsibilities
•Plans, schedules and coordinates the implementation of new or modified functionality within UAccess Student. • Plans, schedules, develops and presents training programs for users of UAccess Student. • Reviews, researches, and evaluates requests from campus partners to determine its usefulness and specifications as related to existing or proposed changes within UAccess Student. • Creates business cases, use cases, fit gap analyses, and requirements specifications. • Conducts meetings to encourage interactions and the exchange of ideas from various organizations to facilitate solutions to administrative problems. •Interviews employees at all levels to analyze policies, work procedures and operational methods for the needs analysis stage of systems development. •Works with user in analyzing and defining system design input/output requirements, documents, forms and procedural flow between departments and/or divisions when developing and implementing administrative systems. • Gathers and organizes information on problems or procedures; documents existing processes, systems and organizational structures. •Conducts operational audits and analyzes data for possible improvements; recommends new or revised systems and implements approved changes. • Acts as project leader on small to medium-sized projects or on a portion of a larger project. •May coordinate activities of subordinates. Participates with management personnel in planning, directing and coordinating operational or procedural matters to meet project goals and objectives.
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field ANDthree years of experience in procedural, management or business analysis work; OR, seven years of experience in procedural, management or business analysis work; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
