Design, test and install improvements to the University enterprise wireless network.
Work closely with campus stakeholders to ensure the enterprise wireless network meets the needs of the campus community.
Meet uptime goals specified for the enterprise wireless network.
Respond to network failures outside of normal business hours.
Help maintain the wired network to support the wireless network.
Bachelor's Level Degree and ten years of comparable experience or equivalent combination of education and experience as detailed below:
Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills.
Network administration experience in an enterprise environment (100+ Network devices).
Wireless administration experience in an enterprise environment (200+ Wireless APs).
Advanced knowledge of wireless technology.
Demonstrated progression in job duties and responsibilities.
Experience in a multi-vendor network environment (HPE-Aruba, Juniper, Cisco).
Advanced knowledge of networking technologies including switching, routing and security controls.
Experience as a wireless architect in an enterprise and/or large public venue environment.
Oversee a major wireless implementation from design to purchasing to implementation and beyond.
