The lnstructional and Learning Technology (l<)Team works under the Computing Communications and lnformation Technology (CCIT) Division and is responsible for the building and maintenance of general and specialized instructional computing labs, conference facilities, and athletic facilities throughout campus. The Audiovisual lnstaller will provide technical support to all facilities with respect to projectors, control systems, interactive displays, audio fine-tuning, and video conferencing. The position is responsible for the installation and support of complex audiovisual systems in a variety of environments. We are seeking a candidate with skills and abilities to install, diagnose, and service audiovisual equipment. The ability to work independently or as part of a team to install and troubleshoot networked audiovisual systems is required.
Baccalaureate degree required, preferably in Media Arts or a field closely related to computer science. Individuals without a degree will be considered if they demonstrate possession of substantially the same knowledge level as found in a degree, but have attained the advanced knowledge through a combination of work experience and intellectual instruction.
Technical competence with AMX, Crestron, and Extron programming.
Experience with complex audio video and network systems.
Experience managing large presentation environments.
Understanding of audiovisual technologies, including video conferencing, annotation boards and digital signage.
Experience leading large audiovisual installations
Demonstrable experience working with customers to provide one-on-one support in a teaching and learning environment
Ability to facilitate strong, collaborative relationships between faculty, students, staff and the information technology department
Demonstrated effectiveness in working collaboratively as well as independently.
