Information Technology & Security, Enterprise Solutions, at The University of Tampa has an available position for a Workday Solutions Architect. This position reports to the Managing Director Enterprise Solutions.
Lead Workday report writing, calculated field, and business process administration trainings for campus users.
Advise functional departments on best practices for Workday business process (BP) and system updates, and other configuration changes.
Partner with functional department power users to assist with report build questions and provide guidance to functional user to finish report.
Oversight of data governance as it relates to reporting standards and business processes ownership.
Maintain awareness of current trends and new Workday functionality, providing recommendations to ITS and functional departments on how to take advantage of these new functionalities.
Educate and promote self-service reporting and business process functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies.
Conducts regular audits of reports for clean-up and enhancements to be completed by functional departments.
Assist with change management activities with new Workday functionality releases.
Collaborate with other departments (i.e. HR, ITS, etc.) on cross-functional projects by providing functional support.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related area.
4+ years of experience in Workday and 2+ in a solutions architect capacity.
Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Understand complexities and nuances with reporting on different organizational hierarchies; ideally, with prior Workday reporting experience.
Data analyst experience, including the ability to understand the business requirements and translating them into operational requirements and/or demonstrated problem-solving experience.
Ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
Strong critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Exposure and proven proficiency in Workday report writing, building calculated fields, and understanding of business processes
Demonstrated ability to operationalize and streamline departmental work flows into Workday business processes
Aptitude for navigating Workday Community, creating/voting on brainstorms, and involvement in the Workday ecosystem (e.g. attending user community events, involvement with EDUCAUSE, overall leader in higher education for Workday).
