The University Technology Office is seeking an email expert to troubleshoot and manage university email resources; configure and troubleshoot email and calendaring clients, mobile devices; collaborate with a technical team to evaluate, troubleshoot and provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors; evaluate and analyze technology products and provide support on new and ongoing projects; create, update and maintain technical documentation.
$15.00 per hour
Provide quality customer service, consultation and training to university faculty, researches and staff under the direction of the University Technology Office.
Understand and respond appropriately to customer requests.
Configure and troubleshoot email and calendaring clients, smartphones/mobile devices.
Troubleshoot and manage university email resources.
Knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting methods and techniques across multiples platforms.
Provide support, consultation and training to the university faculty and staff.
Collaborate with a technical team to evaluate, troubleshoot and provide solutions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Responsible for responding to on-call alerts for urgent customer requests.
Foster cooperative work teams.
Create, update and maintain technical documentation.
Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Providing experience customer service to a diverse customer base, preferably in an educational setting.
Providing technical support installing, configuring and troubleshooting of email/calendar clients (Outlook, MacMail & ICal)
Configuring and troubleshooting email on mobile devices (Android, iPhone & Blackberry)
Troubleshooting and managing email systems (Office 365, Gmail & ListServ)
Creation and management of Exchange resources (Public Folders, Distribution Lists & Resource Calendars)
Managing accounts with email related tools (Exchanged System Manager & ListServ Administration).
Evidence of certifications and/or completed training relevant to the support of Outlook, Exchange, Gmail and/or mobile devices.
Use PC, sit or stand for extend periods of time, walk moderate distances to perform work, use hand/fingers for repetitive motion (keyboarding/typing), communicate both orally and in writing, and read/interpret written and oral instructions/directions. May require lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs. Will require regular participation in an on-call rotation, shift work, and occasional weekend work.
