The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) invites candidates to apply for the position of Director of Educational Technology.
The Director will:
Provide leadership and consultation in the effective integration of educational technologies to enhance the quality of education at the Air Force Academy;
Design and facilitate workshops and on-line training for faculty, staff and cadets regarding the use of educational technologies for all teaching settings.
As a member of the Center for Educational Innovation, engage in support of Center activities and professional development opportunities in the areas of course design, faculty development, scholarship of teaching and learning, and assessment.
Maintain a connection to the primary mission by teaching in an area of expertise (based on institutional needs).
Maintain professional competence and continued skill development through participation in educational technology-related conferences and professional development opportunities.
Engage in scholarship related to educational technology and/or other aspects of the scholarship of teaching and learning

Qualifications: An advanced degree and teaching experience in higher education are required.
The strongest candidates will have a terminal degree. They will have served as an educational technology support professional in an institute of higher education or have extensive experience with educational technologies that demonstrate a strategic approach to technology implementation. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of current and developing educational technologies. They will have served as a faculty member in an undergraduate-serving institution, and will have demonstrated exceptional skill as a teacher. They will have or will be able to develop a high level of competency within the Blackboard LMS system. The best candidates will be skilled communicators and innovative thinkers who are committed to the improvement of student learning and the use of data to inform decision-making. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching, life experience, and/or research interests contribute to a climate that values and uses diversity in all its forms.
