Rider University invites applications for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will be a dedicated member of the Business Intelligence & Analytics team responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of the University’s Cognos Analytics (Cognos 11) business intelligence platform. The successful candidate will: serve in both Cognos development and administrative capacities to build and maintain reporting and analytic applications and support continued growth of the University’s BI initiative; work closely with internal business leads and technical resources to design, develop and maintain Cognos Framework Manager; create and deploy reporting and analytic packages; and develop reporting content such as reports, dashboards, etc. In addition to development activities, the Business Intelligence Analyst will provide assistance in the ongoing maintenance and administration of the Cognos application.

Qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience in Cognos BI development and administration. Additional qualifications include: a deep understanding of IBM Cognos Analytics Business Intelligence components and relationships to system configurations; proficiency with Cognos Administration, Framework Manager; significant experience with data warehouses; and a strong knowledge of data integration / warehousing methodologies. Preferred qualifications include: IBM Cognos Administration certification; experience with Banner; experience in a higher education setting; and project management experience.
