The Madison College Technology Services department is now accepting applications for the Director – IT Administrative Applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional skills and experience that will enable him or her to provide strong leadership and support in areas of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), application architecture, design and development, collaborative relationship management and applications governance.
The Director of Administrative Applications will have the opportunity to build on the dynamic momentum of the Technology Services area, including overseeing a committed and collaborative team and employing a strategic vision to the applications team. Most importantly, you will play a major part in influencing and maintaining the College’s mission, vision and values.
This senior management position in the Technology Services Department has responsibility for architecture, design, and operation of the applications and services related to the Administrative functions (e.g., Student Services, HR, Finance, etc.) for the Madison College District. The ability to focus and function with an enterprise perspective and to advise technical staff, faculty, College management, and students is critical. This position is the subject matter expert for the applications management of the College. This position works very closely and collaboratively with the Academic Technology IT Support Services Director and other IT leaders in the Technology Services department. To be successful in this position, Applications Management (Architecture, Software Management, SDLC), Collaborative Relationship Management and Governance are necessary competencies.

1. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to area of assignment (Computer Sciences, Information Systems, etc.) OR six years (12,000 hours) of an equivalent combination of education and work experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing this position.
Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.
2. Nine (9) years of applications/software experience, including, but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) implementations and support, web-based/mobile applications and organizational productivity software suites.
3. Three (3) years’ experience in supervising and development of staff in the above. functions.
