The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently seeking a results-oriented individual to fill the role of Data /Financial Analyst. As a key member of the ITS finance team, the Project/Data Analyst provides budget and financial support as well as assisting with data quality management of IT projects for the division.
- S/He will provide critical data support to project managers and ITS leadership team. This includes budget tracking, financial forecasting, project evaluation and monitoring. - Ensure data within ITS financial management system is accurate and complete. - Analyze project(s) budget performance against plan and provides written and oral analysis of problem areas. - Review and authorize financial transactions. - Participate in vendor contract reviews. - Provide in-depth support during the annual budget process. - Maintain detailed knowledge of the administrative business operations within the ITS departments, which include administrative coordination, asset management, contract liaison, departmental financial operations and services. This individual will mentor other individuals with the ITS Finance & Administration team.
To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field required. At least 3 years’ experience in administrative and financial management, preferably in higher education or non-profit environment. Ability to handle multiple changing priorities, effective written/verbal communication skills, and follow through with all levels of the university is necessary. Candidates should have experience building positive, results-oriented relationships with clients (departments and senior management), and providing analysis and guidance in the decision-making process. Working knowledge of ERP system, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Sharepoint. Experience with data and/or project management is helpful. Previous experience with mentoring or leading a team a plus. Strong analytical skills and extreme attention to detail; accuracy of finished work is critical.
