Is the Primary Macintosh Support Coordinator for the Help Desk, Summer Replacement Project, Systems Recycle and staff trainer. Installs, modifies, and makes repairs to Apple computer hardware and software and provides technical assistance and some training to users.
System Administration – JSS
Maintain server hardware, operating system and application software for Help Desk JAMF system server and MAC image server – regular replacement schedule and as needed for outages.
Provides training for users on application usage.
Maintains images for Desktop, Laptop and Mobile devices.
Create documentation for all images.
Create scripts for installation of image and software.
Create new accounts and retire accounts for Help Desk employees and contract personnel.
Senior Level Technical Support
Provides senior level technical support to other Help Desk technicians, which include hardware and software support for the MAC platforms.
Supports other departments with non-standard hardware and software needs.
Installs computer hardware and software as assigned.
Supports various Help Desk tools.
Diagnostic tools for service
Front Range / Heat call tracking system
Escalates service calls as needed to management, vendor representatives, and etc.
Committee and other tasks assignments
Serve on committees as assigned.
Provide expertise on computer functionality compatibility and viability in the University environment.
Work with vendors to verify findings and resolve issues.
Work with University community on technology related needs for supporting new events and special needs as they arise.
Performs special labs and classroom administration.
Organized and a self-starter; able to work independently and meet commitment deadlines

Apple Support Certification
Some demonstrated support of the following hardware platforms –
Apple Server Certification
Apple Hardware Certification
PC hardware platforms (desktop and laptop)
Preference will be shown to candidates that demonstrate knowledge and experience in supporting both the PC and Mac platforms
Demonstrated ability to install and maintain referenced computer hardware
Demonstrated customer service skillset –
Working with users over the phone or in the field – face to face
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year previous experience in a System Administration role
Minimum 1 year previous experience providing field level computer support
High School Diploma required, some college or professional / trade training is desired
Required to achieve Apple OS/Hardware and Server Certification
