As an Information Privacy Officer, C&IT work throughout campus community to develop, operate and monitor effective privacy compliance that supports the activities of a public research university. This position is housed in the Quality, Communication and Compliance department Of C&IT, with a dual reporting line to the CIO/Associate Vice President for Computing and Information Technology and the Office of General Counsel. The mission of the position is to monitor compliance with federal and state privacy regulations, as well as general industry privacy standards for restricted or sensitive information collected, used, and/or retained by the University. This position will coordinate centralized oversight and compliance relating to applicable laws, regulations and policies that govern privacy related activities for the Campus. The position will work collaboratively across campus performing outreach including training, and assisting members of the campus community in conducting their activities to the highest level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
