Northern Arizona University’s E-Learning department is currently seeking a full time Instructional Designer. Under the supervision of the Instructional Design Manager and working cooperatively with the Instructional Design Group (IDG) and Teaching and Learning Center staff, the instructional designer (ID) consults and collaborates with faculty and staff to design, produce, and support high-quality, instructionally effective courses to be delivered in-person, online, blended, and in adaptive learning formats. The ID also designs, creates, and teaches in-person and online workshops for faculty on pedagogy, adult learning, course design methods, and use of and application of educational technology. The ID keeps abreast of current research, trends, and practices in instructional design and educational technology in higher education.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants will have a Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, education, communication or related. Two years’ experience designing and developing instructional materials for online, blended or technology enhanced in-person courses. And one or more years of experience in providing technical support for instructional technology. Or any equivalent combination of experience, training or education.
