EDUCAUSE (http://www.educause.edu), a highly creative, entrepreneurial, national nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education through the use of information technology, invites applications for the position of Member Relations Specialist to support the Membership department with member outreach, retention, and enhance member satisfaction. This is a full-time, non-exempt position located in the Louisville, CO office; pay rate commensurate with experience.
The Membership Relations Specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our members and non-members; interacting w/members via phone, email and face-to-face. Primary functions of the role include proactive member support and service, retention, and recruitment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a member concierge to help members navigate the vast benefits, services and value of EDUCAUSE.
Respond to inbound phone and email inquiries assisting members with event registrations, data updates, or other member needs.
Provide member outreach/recruiting support to invite, welcome and orient new members to EDUCAUSE.
Ensure member retention by communicating benefits to all members.
Attend face to face conferences and events to onboard members to EDUCAUSE community and services.
Serve as Registrar and provide face-to-face and virtual event support.
Facilitate .edu domain validation and renewal.
Additional tasks as assigned (i.e. administrative duties, core team meetings, training, etc.).

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in communications or equivalent work. experience.
Previous customer service experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must possess strong communication skills (verbal and written). Specialist communicates w/members and non-members via phone, email and face-to-face on a daily basis.
Detail oriented, with a focus on contributing clean data to systems, processes, etc.
Time and project management skills with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task as well as prioritize tasks.
This is a team environment where work is shared and this role requires the ability to work both independently as we well as part of a team.
Strong computer skills and attention to detail are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook are required.
NetForum AMS experience (or similar) CRM desired.
Travel is required for this position.
