About Digital Promise Digital Promise is an independent, bipartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization authorized by Congress to spur innovation in education for all levels of learners. Positioned at the intersection of educators, entrepreneurs, and researchers, Digital Promise identifies, develops, and promotes strategies to improve all levels of education and provide Americans with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in the global economy. Digital Promise is a fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial organization that values and rewards performance, collaboration, and innovation.
About the Initiative Digital Promise’s work includes networks of districts and schools who collaborate to advance effective innovation for all learners. The League of Innovative Schools (League) is Digital Promise’s flagship initiative, and over the past five years has grown into a robust and dynamic network of 93 public school districts, in 33 states, representing over 3.2 million students.
League members are committed to working together to improve student outcomes and solve the challenges facing K-12 schools through learning technology and research. League districts often engage in broader, multi-sector partnerships in their regions called Education Innovation Clusters (EdClusters). Digital Promise’s League and EdClusters networks work with educators, researchers, ed-tech developer, and other stakeholders to advance innovation in education and improve learning opportunities for all students. These networks also serve as a foundation and incubator for a wide range of Digital Promise’s initiatives -- from educator micro-credentials to ed-tech evaluations; maker education to challenge based learning.
