This position focuses on the architecture, design, development, support and administration of enterprise application and integrations. This is a strategic and senior technical leadership position that impacts Mount St. Mary’s Universities entire application and integration environment; hence the position has an enterprise (University-Wide/System-Wide) focus. This position also works collaboratively on projects with other key senior technical positions.
Work assignments include maintaining the Mount St. Mary’s University application and integration structure/model; identifying and operationalizing key tools to support application and integration work; gathering requirements and developing technical documentation for customer needs; developing solution design options for review, consideration and selection; making recommendations to management and identifying and deploying integrations that leverage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (e.g., Workday, Jenzabar) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., Canvas) and other enterprise applications or services to improve operational effectiveness.
1. Establishes a strategic application and integration vision for Mount St. Mary’s University.
Assesses the current state of the portfolio of applications and integrations within the University.
Catalogs and models the application and integration environment.
Assesses the cross-organizational impact of current designs and the risk of maintaining the current state.
Develops a future state strategic vision/model for Mount St. Mary’s University applications and integrations.
Develops appropriate policies and standards for maintaining a consistent applications and integrations environment.
Effectively manages the risks associated with the existing application and integration environments.
2. Provides consultation and advice on emerging issues and developments.
Assesses client requests for needs and requirements.
Provides guidance to clients or service partners on application and integration strategies based on existing model, architecture, standards and market opportunities.
Manages more junior level staff members in the development of integrations and custom reports.
Ability to handle multiple project priorities
4. Service Delivery
Creates custom integrations using SSIS or Workday Studio or similar.
Servers as backup support to departments in the development of custom reports using SQL and Workday Composite Reporting to support daily operational needs and well as compliance reporting.
Drives resolution to data management issues with the business and vendors

Certifications as follows:

Or, a reasonably comparable set of certifications proposed by the candidate
Three to five years of experience in working with data utilizing a complex relational or object based database system, database programming, web project development, data retrieval and report writing.
Preferred experience in higher education working with Jenzebar EX and Workday.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on clear and effective customer interactions. Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a team and thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment; willingness to share new ideas with team members.
