The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is recruiting for an Instructional Technology Portfolio Administrator to support the administrative and instructional technology portfolio used across the University of Alaska by partnering directly with technology and business partners to deliver results aligned with UA's goals and objectives.
Knowledge, skills and abilities for this position:
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate project teams to achieve objectives.
Experience working with a cross-functional team in the areas of technology and operations disciplines.
Must work within OIT's culture of accountability, fully embracing cultural beliefs and working within those to achieve aligned results.
Three years applied experience establishing and delivering cross functional programs and projects.
Typical Education or Training:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related concentration.
Ability to perform as functional expert for: course management software (e.g. Blackboard), technologies used in the classroom or instructional environment, and technology training development for faculty and staff.
Ability to quickly recognize conflicting issues with instructional technologies to effect operational or technical problem resolutions and knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting methods, application standards used within first and second tiered support groups in large, and complex technology environments.
Lead and organize efforts to plan and develop key events to achieve desired outcomes (e.g. management and leadership meetings). Facilitate and manage the definition of agendas, materials, review cycles, timelines, etc.
Deliver high-impact solutions by identifying key issues, defining appropriate work structure, and driving workable recommendations that create value, inspire trust and build strong, authentic, productive relationships with key stakeholders.
Effectively engage and collaborate with leadership across the organization to develop, define and build on innovative ideas and business priorities.
Anticipate the needs of key leadership and facilitate as well as motivate those around you to identify solutions that both improve the employee experience and advances business objectives.
