The Enterprise Application Analyst/Programmer reports to the Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) and works as part of a team providing technical support for the PeopleSoft modules and integrated systems used by the College.
The Enterprise Application Analyst/Programmer works collaboratively with various areas of the College and is responsible for analyzing business requirements, determining level of effort for design/development work, developing PeopleSoft application enhancements and programs, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting application customizations, and creating PeopleSoft reports and queries. This position assists College teams with the evaluation of new PeopleSoft components, images, and version upgrades. The position also assists with defining the setup required for implementation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
Facilitate requirement gathering sessions to analyze functional business processes as they relate to College enterprise applications and modules.
Work with College leadership to identify implement changes to business processes that result in more effective and efficient use of College enterprise software applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise application issues in both development and production systems.
Develop, test, and maintain application enhancements using PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Web Services, Integration Broker, Application Designer, Application Messaging, Application Engine, SQR, and SQL.
Provide full system life cycle support of PeopleSoft applications including system analysis, programming, testing, and production support.
Diagnose production problems that may be related to setup configuration or data entry.
Develop detailed specifications and supporting documentation for application modifications and custom reports or processes.
Design and develop new queries and reports using PeopleSoft Query Manager, SQL, SQR, BI Publisher, and associated technologies; work with the requestor to evaluate and verify all results to ensure accuracy of compiled data.
Maintain existing customizations/enhancements during the application of patches and upgrades; test and evaluate the impact of new code on the impacted areas of the application ensuring that all modules are operational.
Manage incoming requests for service and new project initiatives; document and track progress in a central repository and provide updates to managers as to status and expected time to completion.
Perform research in support of assigned tasks/issues and when applicable, work with software vendors to resolve problems.
Adhere to the highest professional ethical standards to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
Assist with interface development between ancillary applications and the core PeopleSoft applications.
Provide cross team technical support and mentor new staff when applicable.
Lead project teams to implement new system functionality within the PeopleSoft applications as directed by ACIO.
Deliver effective solutions on time and that adhere to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards for development and quality assurance testing.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of experience developing Enterprise software applications that utilize a relational database such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or DB2
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
Evidence of strong commitment to customer service
Experience creating reports and queries utilizing a relational database
Experience working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Experience working as an effective team member
Ability to interpret and write in multiple programming languages (examples: SQL, XML, XSLT, HTML, Visual Basic)
Experience defining, designing, and implementing application enhancements to meet user requirements
Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security, PeopleSoft BI Publisher, Tree Manager, Knowledge of PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode, PSQuery, SQL, SQR, Application Engine
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects
Experience analyzing business functions such as those related to Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, Financial Aid, Student Financials, Records, and Enrollment
