Marist College invites applications for a full-time Lead Programmer to lead the development, enhancement, deployment, and maintenance of industry-leading enterprise software systems. The Lead Programmer will design, development, documentation, analysis, creation and testing of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user of system design specifications. S/he will design, develop, integrate and troubleshoot complex software systems that run in mixed system environments. The person in this role will also lead and mentor junior developers, as well as student programmer team. S/he research and analyze industry standards and trends and make recommendations to management in addition to collaborate with other departments on system requirements definition, prototyping, designing, coding, testing and deployment to meet business requirements. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems and six years of demonstrated success developing a variety of software systems. The ideal candidate should have experience developing data-driven applications utilizing relational database engines as part of the overall application architecture. Ability to work in a rapidly changing, technological and innovative team-oriented environment is essential. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences including management and cross functions groups are required.
