Weber State University is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer who can work across a range of technologies and interact with stakeholders/partners across the University. This position will play a key role in the design, creation, development, and maintenance of the University's enterprise data warehouse. The perfect candidate can apply a breadth of knowledge, technical skills, and strategic thinking to build a data warehouse to answer important questions across a variety of business areas. Looking for individuals that are flexible and have a strategic viewpoint and technical expertise to grow our data warehouse. This position is critical for building a strong foundation for a long-term Enterprise Data Warehouse. Preferred Qualifications include: Results oriented, with a minimum of 2 years of experience with Oracle in both administration and development role Ability to effectively communicate with customers and support engineers to solve escalated technical issues by utilizing troubleshooting skills to isolate and debug issues Ability to discover underlying requirements from feature requests, recommend alternative technical approaches, lead engineering efforts to meet timelines with optimal solutions Understanding of query tuning / plan analysis / trace Ability to troubleshoot database problems Working knowledge of a scripting languages Experience with programming languages using databases Experience with the Kimball method of dimensional modeling Familiarity with Toad and or SQL Developer Experience with Oracle 11g and 12c including ASM, OEM, RMAN and Data Pump Knowledge and interest in working with large data sets Refined development practices including documentation and use of source code management tools Knowledge or experience of formal project management using project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) Knowledge or experience of software development using the SCRUM framework
